Computer Workshops
|
- Workshops run about one hour and are held in the Stride Room in the lower level of the Library.
- Registration is required for all computer workshops and space is limited to six people per session. Call the Reference Desk for more information 847-8720, ext. 208.

Introduction to Computers and the Mouse
This workshop is intended for users who are complete beginners. It covers basic computer terminology and basic keyboard and mouse functions. |
Introduction to MS Word
Intended for users who have little or no experience using a word processing program. Some typing experience is helpful but not required. Users will create a basic document using Microsoft Word. |
Intermediate MS Word
This workshop is intended for users who are comfortable with using a word processing program and who possess basic typing skills. |
Introduction to Email
Intended for users who are new to email. Users will create free email accounts using Yahoo!. Typing experience is helpful but not required. |
Intermediate Email - Managing your account
Intended for experienced email users. This workshop will cover using the Address book and other advanced features. |
Introduction to the Internet
In this workshop we cover the parts of Internet Explorer 7.0 browser and basic web searching. Intended for users who are new or have limited experience with the Internet. Also for more experienced users who need basic background information before taking Internet - Part II. |
Internet - Part II (for experienced users)
Internet - Part II introduces the experienced Internet user to advanced search features in Google and how to manage favorite sites. |
