2023 Adult Winter Reading Challenge

2023WRC Banner

Looking to find new and exciting reads during the cold winter months? Our Winter Reading Challenge can help get the job done! Whether you’re looking to expand your horizons or clear out your backlog, the 2023 Adult Winter Reading Challenge can help you find great reads to enjoy!

This year’s version of our Winter Reading Challenge features an all-new Bingo Card format and even more flexibility in how you complete the challenge!

Registration

Beginning January 17, 2023, you may participate in the Reading Challenge on Beanstack or by visiting the Reference Department to receive a Bingo Card.

Click here to register on Beanstack or update your online Bingo Card.

Need help registering for Beanstack? Click here for our step-by-step instructions.

How It Works

Complete spaces on the Bingo Card by reading books and participating in other activities. For spaces that involve reading books, each book read will count for one space. When four spaces have been completed in a line horizontally, diagonally, or vertically you will have a Bingo! Clear your first Bingo line to earn an entry into the raffle at the end of the program! If you complete the entire sheet, you’ll earn a second entry into the raffle to double your chances!

Complete your Bingo Card by March 10, 2023 to finish the program and to be eligible to enter our raffle! Paper Bingo Cards must be returned to the Reference Desk by the program’s end date.

This year’s raffle prizes include:

One (1) Grand Prize Winner: One (1) $40.00 gift certificate to Island Books in Middletown, RI.

Two (2) Runners-Up: One (1) $20.00 gift certificate to Empire Tea and Coffee.

Raffle winners will be drawn the following week. Please note that prizes must be picked up in person and cannot be mailed.
