Storytime To-Go Kits

We are delighted to announce the creation of Storytime To-Go Kits!  These free kits are available for all children ages 0 – 5 years old and may be picked up at the Children’s Desk during regular Library hours. Storytime To-Go Kits include a shaker egg, dancing scarf, wrist bells and bubble wands as well as a handout of songs and rhymes to do at home with your child.  Find videos of Ms. Shannon performing each song and rhyme below so you’ll know the best way to use your storytime props.

Storytime To-Go Kits were created to support families during this unprecedented time.  Although we are currently unable to be together in-person, storytimes continue virtually through our website!  Reading aloud to young children is one of the greatest ways to foster early literacy, build language skills and increase vocabulary.  We also hope that providing these kits will remove equity barriers to free recreational and educational opportunities for families in our community.

Pick up a Storytime To-Go Kit and join us for Virtual Preschool Storytime and Virtual Baby Bookworms on the Storytime page of the Library’s website.
