Michael Corvese, a member of Skyscrapers, Inc., will share tips for viewing the night sky using the naked eye, binoculars, and a telescope.
Michael will discuss getting started in astronomy from basic naked eye observing to the use of optical aids such as binoculars and telescopes, including a tutorial using the library’s Orion StarBlast telescope.
He will talk about some handy astronomy software that can aid in learning about the night sky and some easy to find objects that are visible in the current night sky plus tips for observing the upcoming solar eclipse on October 14, 2023. Free and open to all. Registration is required. Learn more.
