Everyone entering the building is required to wear a face mask covering the nose and mouth. There is limited seating and computer sessions are limited to 1 hour.
I was notified that my item is ready for pick up. How can I pick up my item?
Please use the parking lot entrance and look for your bagged item(s) on the tables, they are arranged alphabetically by last name. Please note: These items have already been checked out to you.
I returned my books before the due date but they are still showing up on my account. Should I worry about late fines?
All returned items are held in quarantine for three days before they are checked in. Please allow extra time for your returned items to be processed. There will be no overdue fines on any items through May 31, 2021.
Are computers available?
Yes. We have a limited number of computers available that are first-come, first-served, with a strict time limit of 1 hour per day.
Are printing and copying available?
Printing and copying are available. To send us print requests from your mobile device for pickup (must be picked up same day within 5 hours of sending the print) click here . Stop by the Reference desk on the main floor of the Library to pick up your prints.
Is 3D printing available?
Yes. Please use this form to submit your 3D print request. You will be notified when your project is ready for pickup.
Is the Library accepting book donations?
The Friends’ Bookstore is now accepting donations. For more information click here.
Can I return my items to the Library?
We are now accepting book returns in the book drops outdoors and inside the Library during open hours. When returning items inside the Library please use the book slots by the Circulation desk. Returns will be quarantined for three days before being checked in. All items are backdated when they are checked in to avoid issues with overdue items or late fines. There will be no overdue fines on any items through May 31, 2021.
Is scanning available?
Yes, a flat-bed scanner is available. There is no charge for scanning.
Are faxing and notary services available?
Faxing and notary services are available Tuesday-Friday in the Administration office on the lower lobby, please call ahead 401-847-8720 x100.
Is the Newport room open? Is the microfilm reader available?
The Newport room is currently closed. Use of the room is limited to browsing of its materials or to use the microfilm reader, limited to one person at a time. There is an additional microfilm reader in the Maker Lab. Both readers are available first-come, first-served and limited to 1 hour sessions per day.
