At the Library

The Children’s Department has a variety of things for you and your children to explore any time we are open! In addition to browsing our collection, there are playhouses with a kitchenette, reading nook, and laundry room. There are 2 early literacy touchscreen computers and 4 desktop computers with internet connection for homework, research, or games.

While we ask you to enjoy your snacks outside, there is a Mamava Lactation Pod that provides a clean, comfortable and private environment for breastfeeding parents. The pod is made possible through generous donations from the community and the Friends of the Newport Public Library.
