Activities to enjoy all summer long at the Library:
- Escape Room Kits: Check out an escape room kit with one of our new stories! Click here to see if there is one available today.
- Classic Kit: Get Out of the Games. You’ve been sucked into the anything-but-boring world of board games! Can you cut it in the land of candy, stay afloat in a ship battle, and escape with all your pieces?
- Challenger Kit: Escape Jumanji. Once you start a game of Jumanji, you must finish it…before it finishes you! Solve poisonous puzzles, unravel savage ciphers, and, of course, reach Jumanji!
- I Spy (throughout department): Each week we change the location of things you need to find and you can receive a prize!
- Spot It! (tabletop): We will have a Spot It challenge and you will have to find different things on it each week! This activity is sponsored by the Friends of the Newport Public Library.
- Board Game Battle: Which board game is the best of all: Clue or Connect 4? Checkers or chess? Outfoxed or Operation? You decide! Vote between pairs of board games each week until one is crowned the best board game!
- Weekly Passives: Each week of summer reading will feature a different activity that may be enjoyed anytime the Library is open including tic-tac-toe, color Sudoku, tabletop twister, physical Tetris, a race car game and more.
